Since March 2020, customers with financial hardship or medical protection with a serious illness have been protected from electric service shut off. These shut offs will resume on May 2, 2024.
Customers with a past due balance who are not enrolled in a payment plan, New Start or Matching Payment Program are at risk of electric service shut off. These customers must make a payment or enroll in a payment plan before shut offs resume on May 2. An awareness letter regarding the end of the shut off moratorium was sent in February; emails and outbound calls were made in March. Initial disconnect notices resumed in mid-April.
